Ukrainian punishers open fire at DPR territory over six thousand times

Ukrainian military shelled the front-line territories of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) more than six thousand times over the past week, the Vice-Commander of the Operational Command of the DPR Eduard Basurin states. 

“Altogether, over the past week the enemy shelled the territory of the Republic - 6,249 times. Besides, it applied tanks and mortars - 2,517 times,” said the Vice-Commander. 

According to him, the outskirts of Donetsk, Gorlovka, Yasinovataya and the south villages of the Republic underwent the most intensive shellings. Shellings caused damages of 18 house-buildings in Krutaya Balka, in the settlement of Staromikhailovka of the Kirovsky district of Donetsk and in the Kuibyshevsky and Petrovsky districts of the capital. 

Basurin highlighted that in the last 24 hours there had been 1,373 violations of the ceasefire regime on the part of the enemy. 

Moreover, the Republican intelligence keeps registering strengthening of the AFU positions in three directions.

Thus according to the data, in the Gorlovka direction there were detected two platoons of tanks, two ones of 122mm self-propelled artillery platforms ‘Gvozdika’ and  a platoon of MRLS ‘Grad’.

In the Donetsk direction – there was detected a division of 122mm self-propelled artillery platforms ‘Gvozdika’, a detachment of 203mm howitzers ‘Pion’, a platoon of 152mm howitzers ‘Giatsint-B’, a battery of MRLS ‘Grad’ and two platoons of tanks. 

In the Mariupol direction – there was detected a platoon of tanks, two batteries of 120mm mortars, a platoon of self-propelled artillery platforms ‘Gvozdika’ and a battery of MRLS ‘Grad’.
