Ukraine is not in a position to pay off its debts in the coming years, which will mean either a restructurisation or a default, economic expert Viktor Skarshevsky stated this at a press conference in Kiev.
"Ukraine alone and with external loans and taking into account the gold and foreign currency reserves will not be able to pay off all its accumulated debts. There will be either a restructurisation or a default.
In any case, as a result, we will get a higher devaluation. Plus, it will be superimposed on political turbulence. Plus, the external economic situation may deteriorate and the receipt of currency to Ukraine will be even less.
Then the devaluation may repeat itself as in 2014-2015. In short, Ukraine has problems, and the authorities that will replace the current one in 2019 will have even more problems," he said.
