A snap combat readiness check was conducted in Russia’s Central and Eastern military districts, a source in the Russian defense ministry told TASS on Monday.
"A snap combat readiness check was conducted in the Central and Eastern military district for four days, from March 20," the source said. However he did not say how many servicemen had taken part in the check.
According to the source, the check was meant to drill combat operations planning skills and control of army groups "in conditions of control centers’ movements in unfamiliar territories."
So far, TASS has no official confirmation of this information.
