Ex-President of Georgia, former governor of the Odessa region of Ukraine Mikhail Saakashvili stated on Wednesday (November 29) that President of Ukraine Pyotr Poroshenko had given an order to the General Prosecutor’s Office and Security Service of the country to arrest him.
On the eve, one tent burnt down in a tent camp organized by Saakashvili’s adherents near the building of Ukraine’s Vekhovna Rada in Kiev city center. As a result of the fire, nobody got injured.
“Today, on Wednesday, I have got to know that President Poroshenko has completely crossed the red line and ordered to arrest me for a coup attempt in Ukraine and invented case from Odessa. He gave the order to Prosecutor General Yury Lutsenko, Security Service of Ukraine,” said Saakashvili.
He added that on the eve his driver had been severely beaten.
According to him, law enforcement officials will attempt to arrest him in the nearest two-three days – before the organized march for Ukraine’s President Impeachment which is scheduled for December 3.
