Deliveries of US lethal weapons to Ukraine may pose a threat of a serious aggravation of the situation in Donbass, said Mikhail Ulyanov, Director of the Department for Nonproliferation and Arms Control under the Russian Foreign Ministry.
"This decision will mean an unequivocal attempt to add fuel to the situation, as if the level of confrontation and tension is insufficient. I believe that even at the US administration many are particularly aware of the reason why such supplies have not been implemented so far. If the US policy shifts in this direction, it may certainly threaten the situation with serious aggravation. Nothing of the ongoing in Ukraine calls for the slightest need for such dangerous steps," Ulyanov said at a press conference at Russia Today office.
