Russian investigators charge four more Ukraine commanders for shelling civilians

The Russian Investigative Committee charged four Ukrainian armed forces unit commanders in absentia for their role in the shelling of civilians in Donbass, the committee's spokeswoman said Monday.

The charges of using banned means and methods of warfare under the Russian Criminal Code were also brought against the commanders of the 44th Artillery Brigade, Col. Oleh Lisovom, and of the Southern Operational Command, Maj. Gen. Andriy Grishchenko.

"As part of the investigation of criminal cases, charges in absentia… were brought against commanders of the 92nd Mechanized Brigade, Col. Viktor Nikolyuk, and of the 72nd Kiev Mechanized Brigade, Col. Andriy Sokolov," Svetlana Petrenko said.
