Russia proposes to increase monitors' presence in areas of Donbass under Kiev's control

Russia has spoken in favor of an increase of the presence of monitors assigned to the OSCE's Special Monitoring Mission in the areas of Donbass controlled by the Ukrainian armed units and authorities, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexei Meshkov, who led the Russian delegation at an informal meeting of foreign ministers of the OSCE member-states in Potsdam on September 1, said in an exclusive interview with TASS.

We spoke in clear enough terms about the increase of presence of the mission in the regions of Ukraine adjoining Donbass where the main units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and paramilitaries of nationalistic battalions are concentrated, he said.
