Russia has postponed the idea of issuing passports to citizens of the DPR and LPR in order not to be accused of disrupting the Minsk Agreements. It was stated by the political scientist Rostislav Ischenko.
According to him, between the Republics and the Russian Federation there are introduced certain documents allowing citizens of the DPR and LPR to cross the Russian border, reports The Politnavigator.
In this situation people are left without any documents: they are given neither Ukrainian nor Russian ones. But they need some documents. In particular, because they are constantly crossing the border with Russia. There should be some documents recognised by Russia that would give them the possibility to cross that border. Due to the international political problems, in order not to be accused of interfering into the internal affairs of Ukraine and disrupting the Minsk process, Russia has refused or, at least, postponed the idea of issuing its passports to them. Consequently, they are issuing their own documents.
