The founder of the Lugansk People’s Republic, Valeriy Bolotov, passed away on January 27, because of the heart attack. Valeriy Bolotov came known during the first days of the conflict in Donbass.
He was on the front line during the pushing back of the Ukrainian government forces. Bolotov took charge of the LPR, which was founded in May 2014.
But just in three months, because of the serious wounds, he had to lay down his duty and Igor Plotnitskiy became his successor. Valeriy Bolotov moved to Moscow, but even from there he continued to take part in the Republic’s life.
