Should Washington cease pressure upon Kiev, the new "road map" on settlement of the conflict in Donbass will repeat the destiny of the previous ones, shared his opinion the Directed of the CIS Countries' Strategic Development Center Alexander Gusev.
"Actually, there hasn’t been implemented any clause of the previous "road map": neither arms were withdrawn, nor prisoners exchanged, nor elections prepared… Now Kiev will be asked to do the same, but the result won't change. Most likely, the statement on the "road map" was made to somehow justify the meeting. Negotiations in Berlin showed that the Normandy format has run out of steam and now the USA should be invited to bring the Minsk process out of the dead end. There is no other way out, as Poroshenko obeys only Americans. Otherwise Kiev will keep shelling the DPR and LPR, killing their leaders and so on."
