The number of buildings damaged by the shelling carried out by the Ukrainian army last night in Makeyevka increased to ten, reported the press service of the Makeyevka City Hall.
"Overnight to August 27 a kindergarten and nine houses sustained damage in Makeyevka as a result of the AFU shelling," stated the official.
According to the latest information, five houses in the private sector on Tanov, Beregovaya, Suvorova streets and four high-rise buildings on Uborevich and Tychina streets came under fire of Kiev troops. Along with that splinters of shells damaged gas pipeline, 220 subscribers were left without household.
"Repair works are being conducted. According to the District Electric Lines Office, as a result of the shelling there were knocked out eight transforming stations. So far all the works on connection of subscribers to power supply have been performed already," reported the press service of the City Mayor Valery Lyakhovets.
