Over 400 thousand violations of the ceasefire were recorded in Donbas in 2017. This was announced on Friday at the briefing by Principal Deputy Chief Monitor of the OSCE SMM to Ukraine Alexander Hug.
"In 2017, the OSCE mission recorded 401,336 violations of the ceasefire, and in 2016 there were 320,301 violations," Hug said.
According to him, last year, the SMM documented 4,065 cases of deployment of weapons in violation of the Minsk agreements against 3,099 cases recorded a year earlier. Hug also said that in 2017, the OSCE SMM faced 2,422 cases of restrictions on the freedom of movement of its observers, compared with 1,950 such cases in 2016.
