The OSCE SMM drone detected 14 anti-tank mines on the both sides of T1316 motorway in the disengagement area in Zolotoye locality’s district, not far from unilaterally Ukrainian checkpoint, opened on the contact line, says the OSCE report as on October 20th.
In the document is was pointed out that the OSCE monitors detected 6 anti-tank mines behind the trees approximately in 15 meters to the east from the motorway, and 8 more were found in two ground deepening in 5 meters to the west from the motorway. Directly from the track way no mines could have been noticed.
“That was the same place where on June 2nd the OSCE monitors detected anti-tank mines which had been taken away. Recently, in the same areas the special monitoring group’s team promoted and carried out the monitoring of the demining works in frames of cleansing activities undertaken on the threshold of possible opening of the checkpoint,” says the text of the report.
It should be reminded that the Ukrainian side opened the checkpoint on the contact line in the area of Zolotoye locality in LPR.
The LPR representative in the Contact group’s humanitarian subgroup in the Minsk Negotiations, Olga Kobtseva, underlined that Kiev purposely deceives the Lugansk citizens on both sides of the contact line, by claiming the check point being opened according to the accords.
According to her, at the last meeting in Minsk "there was a dialogue about eliminating the technical issues associated with the opening of the" Zolotoye" checkpoint. Particularly, the issues of repair and maintenance of the road in the specified area, launching of buses between the checkpoints, issues of residents’ safety were discussed.
