The Ukrainian Armed Forces did not adhere to the agreement on a full ceasefire, five shellings have been recorded since midnight, stated the DPR Operational Command.
"In total, after the armistice came into effect, there were registered five bombardments by the AFU, some of which began before midnight. In particular, the fire was opened at the villages Trudovskiye and Yelenovka in the suburbs of Donetsk, the villages of Zhabychevo and Spartak in the northern suburbs of the capital and Kominternovo in the DPR south," a defense official said.
According to the Command representative, the shelling was conducted with mortars of 82-mm calibre, various types of grenade launchers, heavy machine guns, and small arms.
The defense official added that all the data had been recorded by representatives of the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination of the Ceasefire (JCCC).
At that, before the beginning of the ‘academic armistice,’ the Ukrainian forces inflicted massive strikes on the outskirts of Yasinovataya, the suburbs of Donetsk and Dokuchayevsk.
"From 19:00 to 23:00, the AFU launched massive shelling of the Yasinovataya neighbourhood and the village of Mineralnoye, the village of Yelenovka to the south of Donetsk and Yasnoye outside Dokuchayevsk," the Command representative noted.
The official specified that the shelling had been conducted with artillery and tank guns, 120-mm mortars, and grenade launchers. Notably, enemy units "fired at the outskirts of Yasinovataya to the hymn of Ukraine."
Recall that on August 23, during another round of negotiations, the participants of the Minsk Contact Group for the peaceful settlement of the situation in Donbass agreed on a ceasefire timed to the new academic year.
