Ukrainian forces violated the ceasefire over 540 times over the past 24 hours, reported the Vice-Commander of the DPR Operational Command Eduard Basurin.
“Ukrainian army violated the ceasefire 542 times over the past 24 hours,” said Basurin.
Ukrainian forces launched 210 mortar shells of 82mm and 120mm calibre, 210 grenades, and made 23 tank shots. The enemy also used infantry fighting vehicle cannons and small arms.
According to the DPR Command, the enemy targeted Gorlovka and its outskirts – Zaitsevo, Golmovsky and Nizhnetroitskoye, Yasinovataya and neighboring Krutaya Balka, Spartak; Alexandrovka and Trudovskiye of Donetsk; Kominternovo, Sakhanka and Leninskoye villages in the DPR south.
“The number of provocations in the southern direction grows in anticipation of the OSCE Chairman Sebastian Kurz's visit Mariupol on January 3-4,” added Basurin.
He said that is such a way Ukraine showed adherence to the aggressive policy against Donbass, supported by the US senator John McCain who had visited Mariupol earlier.
