Kiev denies possibility of deploying Belorussian peacekeepers to Donbass

Belarus cannot participate in the UN peacekeeping mission in Donbass, as the country is a member of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), said Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine Elena Zerkal.

Earlier, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said that Minsk is ready to participate in the settlement of the conflict in Donbass, including in a possible peacekeeping mission.

"As far as I know, Belarus has not left the CSTO and is a member of this organization, and if we exclude the participation in the mission of the NATO countries, it is very logical that people would say that the CSTO countries take part in this mission," said Zerkal in an interview with the Ukrainian Fifth Channel.
