"Dear friends. I am glad to welcome you all to the Donetsk People's Republic. Today, our state, our people have a big holiday. Three years ago today the inhabitants of Donbass came to the nationwide referendum and made their choice. All of us have chosen freedom, independence, justice, and life in good conscience. I am grateful to you for sharing these holidays with us. But I am even more grateful to you and the inhabitants of the states you represent for your help in those days when our young Republic was under the most challenging conditions. You rendered us assistance when Ukraine introduced the economic blockade of our territories, it was humanitarian aid, assistance in building public institutions, in building the economy. These days, we still experience daily support. I hope that in the future our friendly and partnering relations will only grow stronger. We share a deep bond and huge prospects for mutually beneficial cooperation are lying ahead. Thank you for your support and responding to the aspirations of the Donetsk People's Republic," said the Head of the DPR.
After a welcoming meeting, the signing ceremony for the international "Treaty of Amity and Co-operation between the Donetsk People's Republic and the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania" was held. The heads of states – Alexander Zakharchenko and Anatoly Bibilov – signed the contract on the treaty.
