The Operational Command of the Donetsk People's Republic is afraid of an increase in the number of provocations by the Ukrainian forces after the withdrawal of Russian officers from the Joint Center for the Control and Coordination of the ceasefire (JCCC).
"We do not exclude that the number of provocations by the Ukrainian Armed Forces with the withdrawal of representatives of the Russian side in the JCCC will significantly increase due to the unwillingness of the OSCE international observers to restrain the Ukrainian army. These facts will confirm that the presence of Russian observers provided maintenance of a more stable situation," Vice-Commander of the DPR Operational Command Eduard Basurin said.
Earlier the Ministry of Defense of Russia stated that the Ukrainian authorities created "frankly discriminatory" working conditions for the Russian participants in the working group for the settlement of the conflict in Donbass: field visits to monitor the situation are as difficult as possible, participation in the activities of the contact group is blocked, and even to go outside is possible only "under escort."
