Last week, from 1 to 7 April, in the units and military units of the DPR People's Militia, the main efforts were focused on carrying out mobilization assembly of the Republic's reservists on the proving ground of Shakhtyorsk locality. The total number of reservists was more than 27 thousand people. The main objective of the assembly was to work out the actions coherence of the Republic's mobilization reserves in the event of an aggravation of the situation in the DPR.
Over the past 24 hours, there were registered 46 occasions of ceasefire violations by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The territory of the Republic was attacked with heavy artillery, tanks, mortars of various calibres, weapons of the IFV, anti-aircraft guns, grenade launchers and small arms.
In total, over the past week the enemy committed 277 occasions of the ceasefire regime violation, and fired 2,292 shells and mortar rounds at the territory of the Republic from weapons prohibited by the Minsk Agreements.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine exposed 28 Republic's localities to fire, the following ones suffered the most: Krytaya Balka, Zhabichevo, Yasinovataya, Yakovlevka, Kominternovo, Dokuchayevsk, Petrovskoye, Sosnovskoye, Leninskoye, Oktyabr, Belokamenka, Sakhanka, Spartak, the area of the Airport, the Petrovsky and the Kirovsky districts of Donetsk, on which territories 36 houses were damaged or destroyed.
After confirmation by the President of Ukraine of a complete ceasefire throughout the contact line, on the eve of the Annunciation to the Blessed Virgin Mary, we witnessed another crime of Ukrainian authorities against civilians. At night, from the position of 40th artillery brigade, commander Panchenko ordered to open fire with artillery of 122 and 152 mm calibres in the number of 13 shells at the areas of Tavricheskoye, Grigorovka and Shevchenkovo localities, where, with a direct hit in the house, a heavy shrapnel wound was received by Elena Niftenko, 23. A school received damage as well. In total, eight houses were damaged in Mira Street in the village Shevchenko village.
In total for this period two civilians died and eight were injured.
During the week, Ukrainian forces continued shelling the area of the Donetsk filtering station with prohibited weapons, thus preventing the repair teams from carrying out works on restoring the station's functioning. All these facts prove the criminal actions of the Ukrainian command in relation to the peaceful population of Donbass, which happen with the approval of the military and political leadership of Ukraine.
The command of the Ukrainian Armed Forces continues deploying heavy weapons near the contact line. The absence of heavy weapons in the storage areas is recorded daily in the reports of the OSCE mission. In total, for the past week there was a lack of:
220-mm MLRS 9P140 Uragan – 12 units;
122-mm MLRS BM-21 Grad – 11 units;
152-mm SP gun Akacia – 22 units;
122-mm SP gun Gwozdika – 55 units;
T-64 and T-72 tanks – 7 units;
100-mm anti-tank guns MT-12 Rapira – 9 units.
The past week remained tense and was being formed under the influence of the ceasefire agreement signed by the Contact Group on April 1. The Ukrainian side did not fulfill its obligations and increased the intensity of attacks, ranging from small arms to tanks, mortars and artillery. As a result of the shelling, casualties among the DPR Armed Forces amounted to one soldier perished and two wounded. This is the ceasefire regime in Ukrainian!
The crimes of the AFU which took place 3 years ago have their effect even now. So, the tragic case occurred on April 5 in the Novoazovsk area. Civilians were sorting out the mess in the forest plantation, where an explosive device detonated, left by the Armed Forces of Ukraine in 2014. As a result of the explosion, one woman died, seven others were injured.
Once again I appeal to all the inhabitants of the Republic to be extremely attentive and vigilant when travelling through unverified by sappers places to avoid such unfortunate consequences.
The mayhem continues on the part of the Ukrainian fighters on the territory temporarily controlled by them as well. The resonant case occurred in Mariupol, where the Special Operations Forces carried out a terrorist attack against Colonel A. Kharaberyush, the head of the counterintelligence department of the SBU of the Donetsk region. Predictably, our forces were accused of this sabotage. And the obvious version of his direct involvement in the ‘covering up’ of arms smuggling, cast a shadow over a number of high-ranking Kiev generals from the Security Service and the Ministry of Defense, who lost control over gaining profits from theft and illicit arms trafficking.
We continue to note the growth of non-combat losses among personnel in the AFU. In addition to the standard for the Ukrainian army injuries and wounds resulting from drinking of alcoholic beverages or careless handling of weapons, during the past week, several cases of military vehicles detonation in the territory under Ukraine's control were recorded. These facts occurred due to the fact that units of the Armed Forces and the National Guard after the rotation do not remove the minefield obstacles and do not provide the maps of minefields to the incoming units for replacement.
At our disposal, there are many similar facts that indicate that it is simpler for the Ukrainian military command to write off these losses as a result of shelling by the DPR Armed Forces and thus to evade responsibility for weak control over personnel. The Ukrainian Command presents such disinformation not only to the public, but also to its Western military advisers. So, on April 4, American and British generals John Abizaid and Nick Parker visited the so-called 'ATO' zone, where they talked with military men and got acquainted with the situation. Ukrainian law enforcers complained to their supervisors that we violate the ceasefire and, according to the old tradition, asked to allocate funds for solving logistics and medical issues. However, knowing the tendency of Ukrainian commanders to steal everything that they are given, it is possible to say with certainty that logistics and medicine in the AFU will remain in a deplorable state as before.
The unwillingness of the Ukrainian leadership to implement the Minsk Agreements leads to the fact that the AFU artificially aggravates the situation along the contact line, demonstrating to the world community that a political dialogue on the conflict settlement in Donbass is impossible.
Our units fully comply with the requirements of the Minsk Agreements. However, in the event of unleashing aggression against our Republic by the AFU command, we are ready to give the enemy a worthy repulse, as it has already happened before.
