Over the past day, the Armed Forces of Ukraine committed 61 violations of the ceasefire.
In the Donetsk direction, the enemy targeted 13 localities’ areas with 91 artillery projectiles of 152mm and 122mm calibres, 53 tank rounds, 132 mortar shells of 82mm calibre and 160 of 120mm calibre.
In the Mariupol direction, there were shelled three localities’ areas, at which the enemy launched five artillery projectiles of 152mm calibre and 20 mortar shells of 120mm and 82mm calibres.
In the Gorlovka direction, four localities’ areas underwent shellings. The enemy launched 61 artillery projectiles of 152mm and 122mm calibres, and 33 mortar shells of 120mm and 82mm calibres.
One DPR soldier was killed in the enemy shellings.
Damage was caused to two houses in Yasinovataya locality and the Kievsky district of Donetsk.
Our reconnaissance keeps recording the concentration of forces and assets along the contact line:
- Near Pokrovskoye (21 km to the contact line) there were detected two units of 152mm Msta-B.
In anticipation of Poroshenko’s meeting with the United States’ President Donald Trump scheduled for June 19 and the June 21 contact groups meeting in Minsk, the military and political authorities set before the Ukrainian forces and their media the task to demonstrate an aggravation of the situation in the ‘ATO’ zone by every means. To this end, the ‘ATO’ command sent instructions to brigades on the preparation and conduct of provocations at the contact line during the period from June 17 to June 21, including shellings of the AFU-controlled territories.
Let me remind you that for the same purpose, by the instructions of the former Donetsk region administration head Zhebrivsky, representatives of district administrations held meetings in the front-line localities, in the AFU-controlled territories this week, instructing local residents for actions under shellings from the AFU positions simulate the fire allegedly launched from the DPR territory.
Representatives of the Ukrainian forces, guided by the instructions of the command, as well as the factor of the presence of the Principal Deputy Chief Monitor of the OSCE in Ukraine, Alexander Hug, in Mariupol, organized their own showdowns in the Mariupol direction with a view to resolve long-overdue contradictions. Thus, there are data on a shootout in the vicinity of Shirokino locality between units of the 36th separate marine brigade and uncontrolled fighters of the Volunteer Ukrainian Corps The Right Sector. The reason for the shooting was the AFU units’ self-willed abandonment of their positions in this direction. Disagreements between the Ukrainian forces ended with the mutual use of mortars of various calibres, including against the units’ bases in populated areas. For this reason, Ukrainian media reported damage in Berdyanskoye locality, the territory of which came under mortar fire launched by the Kiev forces.
It is important to note that the nearest positions of the DPR Armed Forces’ units are located at a distance of 5-6 kilometres from the impact site. Respectively, 82mm mortar shells allegedly launched by our units, could not be ours even theoretically, despite the huge desire of Ukrainian media. At the same time, in the photos published by Ukrainian mass media, shell-craters correspond to 82mm shells’ impacts.
Thus, according to our data, new "fakes" of the Ukrainian media and provocations from the Ukrainian forces’ positions should be expected in this period.
