The situation in the Donetsk People’s Republic remains tense.
The enemy continued shelling districts of the Republic’s localities: Zaitsevo, Bezymennoye, Yasinovataya, Yelenovka, Staromikhailovka, Sakhanka, Trudovskiye, Kominternovo, Golmovskoy, Spartak, Krutaya Balka, Dokuchayevsk, Zhabichevo, and Ozeryanovka.
In total, over the past 24 hours the Armed Forces of Ukraine shelled the Republic 2,483 times. Among this shelling number heavy artillery was applied 210 times, mortars of various calibre – 771 times (including 360 shells of 120mm calibre), IFV arms – 294 times, anti-aircraft mounts, grenade launchers and small arms – 1,140 times.
Two People’s Militia soldiers were killed and one got wounded in the shellings, losses among civilians are being specified.
In violation of the Minsk Agreements, the Ukrainian party keeps making attempts to destroy the Republic's residential areas and vital infrastructure, at that using mercenaries from the radicals' ranks, supported by the AFU unis.
19 houses sustained damage in the enemy shellings: four houses in the Petrovsky district of Donetsk, 11 houses in Gorlovka, three in the Yasinovataya district, and one in Dokuchayevsk.
Besides, today at 8:30 in the morning, mortar fire conducted be radicals again disrupted recovery works at the Donetsk filtration station. The station's personnel had to go down to a basement. Thanks to efforts of JCCC representatives, the 'silence regime' was resumed, and the repair brigade continued recovery works.
The tense situation is being detected in the Mariupol direction as well. Yesterday, the AFU fired at the locality of Kominternovo and provoked position fights in this area.
Besides, marine units applied military boats (motor-boats) moored in Mariupol for the first time in a long period. So, on March 4, plying along the coastline controlled by the DPR army's units, having stood to the sea for about a kilometre-long distance, Ukrainian military boats opened fire at the DPR Armed Forces' positions with small-bore weapons and large-calibre machine guns. As a result of this gross violation of the ceasefire regime, the DPR military personnel were forced into opening back-fire and then both boats hastily left towards Mariupol.
Kiev's inability or unwillingness to cease rough activity of its mercenaries and regular AFU units once again reveals to the whole world the true intentions of Poroshenko's regime to continue waging the war and carrying out the genocide of the Donbass population for the purpose of personal enrichment.
