The DPR and LPR are stepping up interaction with representatives of the sound part of the Ukrainian people as Kiev is helpless and incapable of meeting its prisoner exchange commitments under the Minsk-2 agreements, says the text of the special statement by the Head of the DPR Alexander Zakharchenko and the Head of the LPR Igor Plotnitsky.
“The attempts made by Ukrainian public representatives, such as Verkhovnaya Rada deputy Nadezhda Savchenko, to break the deadlock over prisoner exchange meets harsh criticism of Kiev authorities. The public accusations however conceal obvious helplessness and incapability of the Ukrainian president and his associates who do not wish to fulfil their obligations under the Minsk agreements,” says the statement.
According to the document, modern history shows that “Ukrainian women tend to be more adept at solving political and economic problems, and even governing the country.”
“We remain open for dialogue with those Ukrainian people’s representatives, deputies, activists and journalists who really wish implementation of the Minsk agreements and the solution of long-suffering Donbass’ problems,” stated Zakharchenko and Plotnitsky.
“As an act of goodwill, in the runup to the New Year and Christmas, we hand over two women – Anzhelika Presnyakova and Olga Svorak – to the Ukrainian people's representative Nadezhda Savchenko, without any terms set,” said the Donbass Republics’ leaders.
This move is expected to facilitate the release of the DPR and LPR citizens held captive in Ukraine.
