The Ukrainian lawsuit concerning the building of the bridge over the Kerch Strait is a “forlorn hope”, and it can’t stop the building process, stated the Crimea government’s Vice Prime Minister, Dmitry Polonskiy.
Earlier the Ukrainian president gave an order to sue Russia for Kerch Bridge building and presumable harm to environment it can cause.
Polonskiy underlined that the present government of once big and beautiful country – Ukraine - can do nothing else but give orders.
“I won’t evaluate perspectives of that forlorn hope for them, I only know that preparation and possible consideration of the case will have prominent claim nature, and the conclusion of the case can be predicted even today. But the point is that despite all the actions on the Ukrainian part, the bridge will be built and connect the peninsula with the Russian mainland,” said Polonskiy.
According to him, Russian Federation’s citizens and visitors of the country will gladly use the bridge.
“No lawsuits, no claims on the part of that quasi state can stop the historically important building,” underlined the Vice Prime Minister.
