Three soldiers of the People's Militia of the Lugansk People's Republic were wounded, a medical vehicle being shelled by the Armed Forces of Ukraine at the contact line in Donbass, an official spokesman for the Republic's Defense Ministry Andrey Marochko stated on Sunday.
"Today, on April 1, at 9:20 am, in the vicinity of Nizhneye Lozovoye village, the Ukrainian forces engaged an anti-tank guided missile, destroying an Ural vehicle, which was evacuating a sick soldier of the DPR People's Militia for him to be provided medical assistance," Marochko said.
According to him, three servicemen of the People's Militia of the Republic were seriously wounded.
"We urge all international organizations to assess such actions of the Ukrainian side and we hope that this fact will be considered at the next meeting of the Tripartite Contact Group in Minsk, which will be held on April 4, and those responsible for this will be punished," Marochko said.
He specified that the shelling of a medical vehicle in the period of the announced "Easter truce" in the LPR was regarded as "a war crime committed by the Ukrainian servicemen and another provocation."
On Friday, a new "Easter" truce came into force in Donbass, but the Ukrainian forces have repeatedly violated the new armistice in some 9,5 hours after it's coming into effect.
