Four reasons why US elite hate Russia

Why does the American establishment hate Russia? Where did this hatred come from? Why has it been living for so long and what does it feed on? It turns out there are several main factors which as if led to the strong dislike of Washington towards Moscow. In a word, the unicity of Russia keeps the West on the run.

Four factors determining the US hatred towards Russia were described on the portal Zero Hedge in the article Why the Elite hate Russia.
It was previously written on this portal that Russia represents a convenient enemy for American politicians especially for the Democratic party. The analysts note that such an enemy doesn’t exist but he must be created to distract and confuse the voters.

But the process of creating such an enemy has one major disadvantage: when somebody, as it is usual with any enemy, begins to bomb his village some quantity of angry villagers appears.

In the news item it is also stated that the world doesn’t look like it is shown on TV to the Americans.

Russia is just a country which happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time (to the authors this thesis seems to be truthful throughout Russian history), and it is this fact that appears to be the real reason why the American elite hate Russia. The gist of it isn’t in xenophobia, though it is there too. The analysts believe that it is because there are several main factors which make Russia a unique power in the world in comparison with the similar countries.

Then these factors are enumerated and explained. There are four of them.

1. Russia is an independent country. It mustn’t be ruled by external remote control, like other countries. And the American elite don’t like the independence of the Russians.

For example, the Russians expelled Mr Soros’ Open Society.

The authors remind that Russia has forbidden the so-called pro-democracy hedge fund charity of billionaire George Soros. It is believed in Moscow that this organization poses a threat to the state security of Russia. In the statement of Russia’s General Procurator’s Office it is pointed that two branches of Soros's charity network –  the Open Society Foundations, OSF and the Open Society Institute, OSI – are added to the stop-list of foreign non-governmental organizations the activity of which is considered to be undesirable by the Russian state.

2. It is not an easy task to damage Russia by means of secretly used options of CIA, British MI6, or even by means of a direct military conflict. In addition to this Russian military officers possess the skills comparable to those of American officers, and in many cases even exceed them. At least the USA military brass think so.

For example, at the end of September a number of strategic experiments were conducted, in which the conventional opposition to Russia on the European scene was discussed. A series of mental experiments undertaken by the Pentagon in an effort to determine a possible way out of the collisions led the experimentalists to the conclusion that the results wouldn’t be encouraging.

3. Russian language and culture are too difficult for understanding by average American elite. The elite can think that it is well versed in the international policy, but this elite is not even able to write the word “reset” on the button correctly (as it happened to H. Clinton, the Secretary of State, when the word almost opposite to “reset” was written on the button).

“We worked hard to get the right Russian word. Do you think we’ve managed to do that?" she asked Lavrov, laughing. He explained that they chose the wrong word: instead of “perezagruzka” (reset) the Americans wrote “peregruzka” (overcharged).

That is where this certainty comes from, that the specialists like Clinton having got into power are likely to get in trouble of the nuclear war. There were wars, which have been started due to less minor faults.

Is it possible that Clinton’s advisors couldn’t check the button, read its inscription before the ceremony? This ceremony was public, it was held in front of journalists! Where else can such an outspoken unprofessional like Clinton be found? How do such people advance in politics?

The USA elite just do not control Russia. Of course there are oligarchs in Russia who work directly with Western Rothschild interests. However the Americans lack the opportunities for controlling the country in the way they do it, for example, with Germany. Or as they do it with China, where there are a lot of talks and even a promise of dumping treasuries, but in reality it depends completely on the USA and US currency. The authors speak ironically that perhaps in a thousand years the Chinese will really run the world, but not now and not in the nearest future.

Returning to Russia the authors notice that the culture of this country is one of the most misunderstood in the West. And it is strange because Russia is more like America than any European country:

 a) both Russia and America share huge landmasses with large undeveloped territory;
b) There are predominantly white Christian majorities both in Russia and in America (although in last decades, America looks more like a melting pot);

c) Russia together with the USA fought against Hitler and the Nazis during World War II, the defining event of the history of last 60 years.

There were also many interesting situations when Russia helped the USA and the USA helped Russia. The two states could have the common future. For instance, during the Nixon administration Kissinger was prodding Nixon to partner with Russia.  Such a partnership would, in Kissinger's view, create an unstoppable alliance, that no one could compete with such a superpower axis.

But the alliance didn’t happen because of neocons’ opposition. Instead of this Nixon chose China for rapprochement. “What a mistake!” exclaim the analysts.

We can add that today the Cold War between the USA and Russia reached one of its climax. The rapprochement is out of the question. Moreover, the Russians don’t believe anymore in the kindness of the Americans.

The results of the joint research of Chicago Council on Global Affairs and Levada-Center showed that the Americans and the Russians refer to each other with the obvious distrust.

The “warmth” of the Russians’ relations with the Americans equals to 40 points (100-point grading scale; 0 points is “very bad” relations, 100 points is “very good” relations”). The Russians’ attitude towards the USA is even worse: 23 points out of 100 possible.

It is also stated that among the Americans 55% of respondents consider that the relations between the USA and the Russian Federation are getting worse. The majority of the Russians (56%) suppose that the tendency of the USA to control other countries presents a significant threat for Russia.

Finally, 74% of the Russians think that the aim of the economic anti-Russian penalties was not an aspiration for stopping the Ukrainian war but the one for weakening Russia. 68% of the Russian are also sure that the placement of NATO forces in the Baltic republics and in Poland sets a threat for the Russian Federation.

Chicago Council Enquiry measuring the attitude of the Americans towards Russia has been held since 1978. Such a frost in the relations of these two countries has not been observed since the Cold War.
