First westerner received DPR passport: Director of DONi News, Janus Putkonen
Finnish journalist and director of the official DONi Donbass International News Agency, Janus Putkonen, has received Donetsk People's Republic passport as first western citizen. Citizenship of DPR was granted personally by the Head of Donetsk People's Republic, Alexander Zakharchenko.
Second passport for a westerner was also received at the same time, and it was given to DONi Press Center French journalist, Kristel Nean. Passports were received 9.9.2016 and handed by the Head of Immigration Service, Vladimir Krasnosheka in the capital of Donetsk People's Republic.
DPR passports are valid documents also in Lugansk People's Republic and in Russia. Krasnosheka underlined the high quality of documents and showed to journalists the visible and invisible marks of high standards in production of DPR passports. With new dual citizenships of DPR, both permanently in Donetsk living journalists have equal rights and duties as other citizens of Donetsk People's Republic.
"Its a great honor to receive this rare and new document. As a new citizen of the new people's republic, I hope to give an example for people in all countries, ruled by multinational western power, that the hope is still here, freedom and truth is worth of fighting for, and in free people's republics everything is possible. It's all about trust, and I thank our respected leader, Alexander Zakharchenko, for giving me and all of us the opportunity to do our best for the better future, peace and prosperity", said Janus Putkonen, director of the international Donetsk state media, DONi Donbass News Agency.
