He told us about the reasons why he had overcome to the side of the Donetsk People's Republic, and what he saw behind and around the war in Donbass. The first video interview was recorded in the office of DONi News Agency and the second one near the Donetsk Airport.
"What we see here is destruction what is very similar to that you can see in major World War, entire blocks of homes destroyed, businesses destroyed, these are people's lifes, these ain't just buildings and structures, these are people's lifes totally destroyed," Simpson said about his first hand experience from Donetsk.
While bullets were flying close to us, the former CIA official said: "If you look at all of this, all of this is paid by our tax dollars, every Friday, or second Friday of the month, yours and mine tax dollars pay for this destruction. This is what finances this. All the horror, tragedy, the blood, all suffering - it's financed by my country and by the West. This is a terrible tragedy, humanitarian disaster," Simson said.
The former CIA official, who has recently moved to Donbass permanently, is in full readiness to give his helping hand with all his professional and governmental experience for the new Republic and the DPR officials.
