Donetsk Defense: Weekly Situation Report, 01/19/2018
Last week, in the formations and military units of the DPR Armed Forces, assemblies were held with commanders of the artillery reconnaissance units, as well as battalion tactical exercises with the personnel of motorized rifle and tank divisions. Carrying out of actions together with other power departments of the Republic on counteraction to terrorism and struggle with sabotage and reconnaissance groups of the enemy proceeded.
Over the past 24 hours, four ceasefire violations by the AFU were recorded.
As a result of AFU attacks, three house buildings were damaged in Dokuchayevsk.
In total, over the past week, the enemy 66 times violated the ceasefire regime, and launched 308 120 and 82-mm calibre mortars on the territory of the Republic including one artillery projectile.
In the course of the week, ten localities of the Republic were subjected to fire by the AFU.
The damage was inflicted to 11 building in the settlements of Dokuchayevsk and Veseloye due to the shelling by the Ukrainian security forces. In the village of Yasnoye, the power lines were broken, because of which more than 560 houses were de-energized. At present, the power supply of the village has been restored.
During the defense of our Republic, one soldier was killed and four soldiers were injured.
Our reconnaissance records the strengthening of the enemy grouping in the Mariupol and Gorlovka directions. The arrival of up to two battalions of personnel and equipment in the responsibility zone of the 28 separate mechanised brigade and up to one battalion in the responsibility zone of the 128 separate mountain infantry brigade of the AFU in rotation was noted. But at the same time, the activities confirming the preparation and departure from the 'ATO' zone of the units planned for rotation are not conducted. Moreover, the work of the commission of the 'ATO' zone headquarters checking the combat readiness of the AFU units near the contact line causes us to be wary.
On the basis of the daily reconnaissance data received from servicemen serving on the front line, at the headquarters of the so-called 'ATO' and the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, it can be concluded that the army of Ukraine for the past 3,5 years has gone from the law enforcement agency, a sample of the best armies of the world and history, and built on the basis of patriotism, to a crowd of citizens whose sole purpose is to try to make money.
At the same time, the horror of realizing this is so great that the statements of officers who received military education in the Soviet Union and the first years of Ukraine's sovereignty cannot be stopped by any censorship imposed by Kiev in the mass media.
The recent interview of Ivanov Y. V, chief of staff of the 72nd separate mechanized brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, in which he with frank sadness reports on the deplorable state of affairs in the subordinate formation, which, I recall, according to Petro Poroshenko is the best in the AFU, has not been left without attention.
All are well aware that the exit of the formation from the so-called 'ATO' zone with equipped manpower and weaponry in 60% in the absence of active hostilities indicates that the brigade entered the conflict zone in this state.
At first we suspected the chief of staff in an attempt to mislead people, but conducted checks showed that his statement was true. Moreover, this and even worse state of affairs occurs in all units of the AFU.
The notorious assurances of the military and political leadership of Ukraine that the monetary allowance will grow to incredible amounts are, in fact, just words.
At present, the state successes in attacting to the so-called 'ATO' zone with the possibility to make money only those Ukrainian residents who failed to realize themselves in other spheres and for some reason cannot go to work abroad.
This is what the employees of the military commissariats take advantage of, calling for a large number of citizens with criminal past to serve in the Ukrainian Armed Forces, as well as those who are registered in narcological and psycho-neurological dispensaries. This is also what Ivanov Yu.V. is lamenting over, saying that "... then the officers in the units agonize over these conscripts...". As a result, the majority of the servicemen of the formation openly say that they came to the army simply to earn money, they do not need this war and just sit in trenches. Those who are even slightly motivated, upon arrival in the troops' location, soon begin to complain about the poor quality of material support for the units and the presence of obsolete equipment on which they have to serve.
At present, the AFU is a factory for grinding out veterans, who, due to the lack of passage of the simplest rehabilitation, after the end of service, have several ways of further existence: it is alcoholism, re-contracting and leaving for 'ATO' zone, and the third option, which appeared recently, - recruitment in PMCs (private military companies) in Europe.
If the first two options are clear - they are tried-and-true, then I would like to dwell more on PMCs.
At present, our intelligence service records an increase in the recruitment by foreign companies of former servicemen of the AFU to carry out tasks in the Middle East. Such interest is connected, first of all, with falling of quantity of wishing from the countries of the European Union to be at war on the party of various terrorist and equated to them organizations due to strengthening of antiterrorist activity in the world.
And mercenaries from among Ukrainian citizens are more profitable in all senses - firstly, a large number of those wishing, and secondly - a significant cheapness of use: a Ukrainian mercenary receives 40% less than the European, however this amount is much higher than the pay allowance in the Ukrainian Armed Forces and reaches 50 thousand hryvnia per month.
Against the background of the complete impoverishment of the Ukrainian army in general and the junior military personnel in particular, the bonuses received by AFU command staff from the commander of the unit and above are especially amazing.
So, according to the data obtained by our intelligence service, the bonus of a brigade commander, according to the results of 2017, amounted to 127 thousand hryvnia; at that, by the decision of the so-called 'ATO' zone headquarters or the headquarters of the operational command, the size of the bonus could be increased by 2-3 times in cases where the commander managed to save the allocated financing for more than 1 million hryvnia due to the deprivation of subordinate personnel of various rewards and allowances. In addition, the commanders of the airborne units received additional bonuses for commanding units of constant combat readiness in the amount of 50 thousand hryvnia.
So, judging by the bonus paid to the commander of the 57th separate motorized brigade Krasilnikov D.S., allocated in the doubled amount of 254 thousand hryvnia, it can be said that it is not in vain that the subordinate servicemen of the brigade knowingly do not respect him so openly, refuse to serve him and wait a convenient opportunity to set him up.
The fact that after the brigade servicemen's open appeal with complaints about the brigade commander, made public on January 13, Krasilnikov, fearing reprisal, increased personal guard. At our disposal there are materials that indirectly confirm the transfer in the near future of this so-called 'officer' to a higher position.
We cannot ignore the so-called "Law on the reintegration of Donbass" adopted in Ukraine yesterday. Ukraine once again stressed that it does not want to resolve the conflict peacefully and diplomatically.
This desire was absent in 2014, there is none now. The only difference is that the military and political leadership of Ukraine, realizing that the killing of peaceful people will ultimately lead them to the dock, decided to hedge and legally ensured impunity for war crimes.
But this safety is mythical, as it runs against all international conventions that protect human rights and which, by the way, are signed by legitimate representatives of Ukraine.
The adoption of this law is an open spit in the face of all international law and citizens of Ukraine.
It is also important that, according to this legislative act, the participation of the armed forces is officially permitted. That is, the Kiev regime, drugged with blood, wants only blood.
And, turning to Ukraine, I will say: if want to live under the military junta - we will not interfere! Try to push the troops - they will not return home alive!
Citizens of Ukraine, you still have the opportunity to change something, because the law has not yet been signed - fight to the end! No strength left? Come over to our side!
