US denies visas to every third Ukrainian

The number of refusals to Ukrainian citizens in guest visas (B-visas) for trips to the United States has slightly decreased compared to last year, the Evropeyskaya Pravda writes, referring to official statistics from the US State Department for the 2017 financial year.

According to the provided data, the share of the refusals to Ukrainians makes 34,54%, it means every third Ukrainian is denied entry to the United States. Last year the bounce rate was 40,83%.

In most cases the United States deny visas to the residents of the federated States of Micronesia and the Western Sahara (part of the refusals is 100%) and also to the Republic of Palau (83,33%), Cuba (77,17%), Burundi (75,55%), Burkina Faso (75,74%), Somalia (75,5%), Afghanistan (72,14%), Eritrea (71,69%), Haiti (71,44%), Gambia (70,27%).

The lowest level of rejection belongs to the applicants from San Marino, Liechtenstein, Andorra and Monaco – the bounce rate is 0%.

Earlier the President of Ukraine Pyotr Poroshenko expressed astonishment at the prices for visas to Saudi Arabia.
