It is necessary to send to Donbass about 20 thousand soldiers from countries that are not members of NATO, as well as 4 thousand policemen. This is stated in a report of the United Nations expert at the Columbia University in New York, Richard Gowan.
It is noted that the report will be presented on February 17 at the Munich Security Conference.
"To carry out the operation, it is necessary to recruit soldiers in some European countries, for example Sweden, states that have experience in peacekeeping activities, like Brazil, as well as in countries that Russia trusts, for example in Belarus," the author of the report said.
According to Gowan, peacekeepers will allow holding local elections in Donbass.
