Ukrainian saboteurs detected at contact line in LPR

The People's Militia of the Lugansk People's Republic reported on Monday that a sabotage and reconnaissance group of the Ukrainian forces had been spotted at the contact line in Donbass, three Ukrainian soldiers were killed in the shootout.

"At 4:10 pm on February 12, 2018 an enemy sabotage and reconnaissance group of up to seven servicemen from the 58th separate motorized infantry AFU brigade made an attempt to move towards the LPR People's Militia positions, from the direction of Krymskoye settlement to Zhelobok village, with a view to search for gaps and seize our positions," official representative of the LPR People's Militia Andrei Marochko said.

He specified that servicemen of the LPR People's Militia had identified Ukrainian security forces and opened crossfire from the regular small arms – machine guns and automatic weapons.

"Three soldiers of the AFU were killed, the rest of the sabotage and reconnaissance group, leaving the bodies of their senselessly lost comrades, retreated in the direction of Kostomarov tract," Marochko said.

According to the LPR defense agency, there were no casualties among servicemen of the People's Militia.
