Over the past 24 hours Ukrainian forces launched over 260 shells and mortar rounds onto the DPR territory, reports the DPR Operational Command’s Vice-Commander, Eduard Basurin.
“In the Donetsk direction the enemy conducted fire with large-caliber artillery, tanks and mortars. 23 artillery shells of 122 mm caliber, 37 tank shells and 132 mortar rounds of 120 mm and 82 mm calibers were launched onto 15 DPR localities,” said Basurin.
He specified that as a result of the continuous shelling with the application of tanks, committed from the positions of the 72nd Ukrainian separate mechanized brigade in the locality of Spartak, a residential house at the Molodezhnaya Str.,2 was damaged. Due to the mortaring of the Pertovsky district of Donetsk one residential house in Alexandrovka locality was damaged.
According to the Command’s data, in the Mariupol and Gorlovka directions Ukrainian gunmen applied mortars of 120 mm and 82 mm calibers, launching 69 mortar rounds. Apart from it, shelling 6 localities and their vicinities, the enemy applied grenade launchers and small arms.
“Notably, Ukrainian forces apply the ammunition, delivered from Poland and Bulgaria,” underlined Basurin.
“Our reconnaissance continues recording concentration of weapons, prohibited by the Minsk Agreements, along the contact line, with which the enemy conducts fire at civilian citizens. Thus, in the Nicholayevka locality’s area (3 km away from the contact line), the arrival of 10 tanks was detected,” stressed the Vice-Commander.
