Ukraine hits list of most unfortunate countries in world

Ukraine occupied the 133 place out of 155 possible in the index of happy countries of the world (World Happiness Report 2017).

The World Report on Happiness is annually developed by the UN unit responsible for sustainable development solutions (UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network).

When assessing the level of happiness in the country, macroeconomic indications (GDP per capita level), social policy, life expectancy, citizens' freedom, attitude to corruption, etc. are used. On the sum of these indicators, Ukraine scored 4,096 points - while the leader of the rating, Norway, received 7,537. The most unfortunate country, South Africa, scored 2,693 points.
