Border guards did not let three Georgian journalists to Ukraine, the adviser to the head of the State Border Service of Ukraine Oleg Slobodyan reported on December 6.
"In the morning [of December 6] three representatives of different Georgian media were prevented from crossing the border due to inconsistency of the purpose of the trip," Slobodyan said.
According to him, journalists stated that the purpose of their trip to Ukraine was to prepare reports on the diaspora, "but in fact it turned out that it (the purpose – ed.) had nothing to do with this."
Slobodyan also said that during a detailed conversation one of the journalists turned out to have been involved in the activities of a television channel, which was covering the events in the territory of Donbass out of Kiev’s control "in the anti-Ukrainian light."
According to the Ukrainian media, journalists of the First Channel of Georgia, Rustavi 2 and TV Pirveli were not allowed into the country.
