Russia turns to be leader in supply of coal to Ukraine in 2017

In 2017 Ukraine imported Russian coal for more than $1.55 billion, which is 56.57% of its total imports. This is evidenced by customs data of the Ukrainian State Fiscal Service (SFS).

"In 2017, Ukraine imported 19,777,741 tons of coal for $2744,062 million. From Russia, for this period, coal was imported for $1552,196 million (56.57%), from the USA - for $682,014 million (24.85%), from Canada - for $182,200 million (6.64%), from other countries - for $327,653 million (11.94%)," the report says.

According to the SFS data, coal exports were mainly made to Russia - for $57,475 million (54.48%), to Slovakia - for $ 41,527 million (39.36%), to Turkey - for $ 2,566 million (2.43%), to other countries - for $ 3,927 million (3.72%).
