Putin: FSB to fight Ukrainian terrorist threat

Russian President Vladimir Putin called on the FSB to counter the terrorist threat coming from the Ukrainian authorities. The Head of State stated this at a board meeting of the special services.

"We also see a serious deterioration of the situation in the south-east of Ukraine lately. The purpose of this aggravation is clear - to disrupt the Minsk agreements. Today the government in Ukraine is clearly not ready for a peaceful solution of this complex problem and rely on a military solution. Moreover, they also openly speak about organization of sabotage and terrorism, subversive activities, including in Russia. We cannot but worry about it.

Events and circumstances I have mentioned require special and law enforcement agencies of Russia, especially the Federal Security Service, to pay special attention and concentrate power, in the first place, in the fight against terrorism," he said.
