Ukrainian President Pyotr Poroshenko signed the law “On creation of conditions, necessary for peaceful situation’s regulation in certain areas of the Donetsk and Lugansk regions”, which extends the Donbass special status, reports the Ukrainian president’s press-service.
On the eve, the Verkhovna Rada extended the terms of the Donbass special status law. Particularly, the law presupposes that the region’s special status will come into effect after several demands, including the withdrawing of the “illegal military formations” from that territory, are fulfilled.
In the statement on the President’s site, it is also underlined that the law provides all conditions needed for UN peacemakers’ mission deployment in Donbass.
The document comes into effect since the day of its publishing in the official press.
