Our people and economy coped with Ukrainian transport blockade – DPR Head

The transport blockade on the part of Ukraine, established a year ago, gave the economy of the Republic an impulse to development, Head of the Donetsk People's Republic Alexander Zakharchenko stated during a press conference on February 9.

"At the beginning, the transport blockade on Ukraine’s party, of course, hit our economy hard. But we have learned to do things we had not wanted to do before. We have found new markets for out products. Thanks to this, new branches are opening up today, jobs are being created. That is, our economy has received a great impetus to development. Our people and the economy have coped with the transport blockade, we have learned to live in a different way – unlike Ukraine," said Alexander Zakharchenko.
