OSCE debunks main myth of Ukrainian propaganda

OSCE Secretary General Lamberto Zannier, quoted by Interfax-Ukraine, said at a briefing that the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission could not confirm the presence of Russian troops in Donbass.

"When asked if there were present Russian associations, then, referring to the information from our observers, I say that these formations are absent there as such. But we can observe the presence of military equipment from the outside. In addition, we can see a large presence of equipment and fuel, it has also arrived from somewhere. In addition, there are foreign military personnel in the region," the OSCE Secretary General said.

According to him, foreign military recognize that they have arrived from another country, but deny official ties with the Russian Federation.

He also made it clear that he was in favour of a dialogue between the parties to the conflict, against which official Kiev objected.

"We abstain from assessments, our task is to promote the dialogue, to promote the creation of a platform where the parties involved can discuss the situation, including economic interests," Zanier stressed.
