The OSCE Special Monitoring Mission representatives daily check the LPR People’s Militia equipment which it to participate in the Lugansk Victory Day parade, to make sure that it has no live ammunition, said the LPR People’s Militia spokesman Andrey Marochko, commenting the statement by Ukrainian General Staff public relations department deputy head Vladislav Voloshin who had alleged that the V-Day parade in Lugansk was a pretext to violate the agreements on the withdrawal of heavy weapons of calibre over 100mm, and that the Ukrainian army's positions were within the range of military parade artillery.
“We’ve got used to hearing such statements. The OSCE mission representatives daily visit our equipment storage sites,” the spokesman said. “Every day, they record that the equipment is there and has no ammunition.”
“The OSCE representatives earlier said they would monitor the May 9 parade,” he added.
The LPR People's Militia has already held the first rehearsal of the parade at a firing range. Dress rehearsals are due to begin in Lugansk Teatralnaya Square from May 4.
