One People’s Militia soldier killed, two wounded in Kiev shelling LPR

One soldier of the LPR People’s Militia perished, two got wounded as a result of the shelling by the Kiev military of the Sokolniki village area. It was reported by the Defense Ministry of the Republic.

"During the bombardment from the direction of the Krymskoye village the fire was launched from 122-mm artillery systems 2S1 ‘Gvozdika’ forbidden by the Minsk Agreements, 120-mm and 82-mm mortars, shoulder anti-tank launchers and small arms," said the People’s Militia representative.

At a meeting in Minsk on August 26 participants of the Contact group on settlement of the situation in Donbass stated the need of establishment of "termless ceasefire" in the region since September 1. This agreement became already the ninth arrangement on "silence regime" observance since the fall of 2014. Because since September 1 the Kiev military have repeatedly violated the truce conditions as they used to previously, including opening fire from mortars and tank weapons which should have been withdrawn according to the Minsk Agreements, the LPR and DPR declared the need of introduction of the atmost ceasefire regime since September 15. Kiev promised to observe it.
