NATO troops train Ukrainian marines in Georgia

Yesterday, marines and naval aviators of the Ukrainian Armed Forces' Navy carried out the AN-26 training jumps in the multinational exercises Agile Spirit-2017 held in Georgia at the Orfolo test site, reported in the press service of a separate brigade of the Marine Corps of the Ukrainian Navy.

"The air assault platoon practiced parachute jumping with landing in the highlands. Air drops of the Marine Corps units' personnel, who are part of the multinational battalions, is one of the tasks that will enter the final phase of all training," the report said.

The training will last until September 11, the event with the participation of the Marines and Naval Aviation of the Ukrainian Armed Forces is aimed at drilling joint actions with units of the NATO member countries and partner countries, improving field and air fighting capacity in a multinational environment, and the reported goal of the training itself is to enhance interaction between military personnel of the Alliance and partner countries.
