More than 309 thousand residents of the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) who have minimum pensions will receive increased payments which are to be 2,904 rubles in January, 2018, DPR Ministry of Labor and Social Politics, Press-Service reports.
"According to DPR Head Alexander Zakharchenko's decree No. 361, in January, 2018 there has been carried out reassessment of pension payments. According to the decree, the minimum pension was increased and amounted to 2,904 rubles. Reassessment was carried out for almost 309 thousand pensioners,” said a representative of the Press-Service.
It was specified that payments began in the departments of the DPR Central Bank and state enterprise Donbass Post on January 4. Altogether, in this month the DPR Pension Fund is planning to pay out pensions totaling 3,065,5 million rubles to 679,9 thousand citizens.
It should be noted that pension was increased two times in the Republic in 2017. At the beginning of the year, it was increased to 2,600 rubles.
Later, in October, according to the DPR Head Alexander Zakharchenko pension was increased again, at that time by 5%.
At the end of December, 2017 acting Minister of Labor and Social Politics Larisa Tolstykina stated increase in minimum pension payments (from 2,730 to 2,904 rubles) since January 2018.
