Lugansk Defense: Situation Report, 07/12/2017

The situation in the responsibility zone of the LPR People's Militia hasn’t changed and remains tense.

Over the past day, the enemy committed five violations of the ceasefire.

Our units' positions near the localities of Pervomaisk, Slavyanoserbsk, Zhelobok and Kalinovka were shelled. When attacking, the Armed Forces of Ukraine applied banned by the Minsk accords 120-mm and 82-mm mortars, anti-tank rocket-propelled grenade launchers and small arms. In total, 35 rounds and grenades were launched onto the Republic's territory.

Despite the world community's appeals on the resolution of the armed conflict in Donbass by peaceful means, the criminal regime of Poroshenko still counts on the forceful occupation of our territory. To this end, the command of the Ukrainian Armed Forces is regrouping forces and drawing prohibited weapons to the contact line:

Novozvanovka – there was noted the arrival of three tanks from among the tank battalion of the 24 brigade;

Krymskoye – there were detected two disguised MRLS Grad;

Mironovsky – there were detected two towed howitzers of 122-mm calibre D-30;

Luganskoye – there was detected the firing positions with three detachments of 120-mm mortars.

In addition, we continue receiving information about the next noncombat losses in the ranks of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, which are being hidden from the higher command. So, in the 93th brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, the truck driver, when transporting personnel, failed to manage the vehicle and tipped the truck over. As a result of the accident, one AFU serviceman died and seven got injuries of varying severity.

Today, units and military units of the LPR People's Militia conduct complex combat trainings, the main purpose of which is to increase the cohesion of the actions of the military command and rank and rifle in carrying out the assigned tasks within the established deadlines.

The LPR People's Militia observes the 'silence regime' and adheres to the agreements reached in Minsk. Our actions are aimed at resolving the conflict in Donbass peacefully, but in the event of an aggravation of the situation, we reserve the right to liberate the captured territories with the decisive actions.
