LPR accuses Kiev of preparing provocations during Hug's visit to Donbass

The official representative of the People's Militia of the Lugansk People's Republic, Andrei Marochko, has accused the Ukrainian forces of preparing provocations aimed at discrediting the Donbass Republics during the visit of the Deputy Chief Monitor of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission, Alexander Hug.

Earlier, the press service of the OSCE SMM stated that Hug would visit one of the designated forces and assets' disengagement sites in the area of the Stanitsa Luganskaya checkpoint on Tuesday. The press center of the Ukrainian forces' military operation reported an aggravation of the situation in the Lugansk direction in its Facebook. According to the Ukrainian military, the fire was launched with grenade launchers and machine guns near the localities of Stanitsa Luganskaya, Valuiskoye, Novoalexandrovka and Trekhizbenka.

"We believe this (statements by Ukrainian law enforcers – ed.), first and foremost, runs connected with today's visit of the OSCE SMM Deputy Chief Monitor, Alexander Hug. We possess information on the AFU's preparation for a series of provocations aimed at discrediting the Republics, and such statements confirm that Ukraine is ready to do anything to denigrate the LPR People's Militia," Marochko said at a briefing.
