LPR abolishes duties on DPR goods' import

Entrepreneurs can duty-free import raw materials from the Donetsk People's Republic into the Lugansk People's Republic starting from February 24, Deputy Chairman of the LPR State Customs Committee Eduard Berbets announced on February 21.

"According to the Decree of the LPR Council of Ministers of February 13, 2018, No. 85/18, raw materials and materials for own production, regardless of the manufacturing country, are allowed to be imported into the territory of the Republic," the Deputy Chairman stated.

Eduard Berbets noted that the main purpose of innovations is the creation of favourable conditions for the development of small and medium business of the LPR, and establishment of trade relations between the Republics of Donbass.

"Since February 24, 2018, the DPR will be able to import raw materials, materials that provide the needs of industrial enterprises of the Republic with material resources for the main production and are used exclusively in manufacturing finished products, and are classified in 1-23 groups of the commodity nomenclature of foreign economic activity, except the group of excisable goods," the Deputy Chairman specified.
