Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Andrey Parubiy signed the law on the reintegration of Donbass, the document was handed over to President Pyotr Poroshenko for signature, the website of the Ukrainian parliament reported on Thursday.
In a line about the stages of passing the document, it is noted that the law was signed on February 8 by the speaker and sent to the president.
The Rada on January 18 passed a law on the reintegration of Donbass, it will enter into force after signing by the president and publication in the official press. Deputies of the "Opposition Bloc" faction registered a resolution to repeal this law. According to the procedure, the Speaker of the Parliament could not transfer the law to the President for signing, until the Rada considers this decision. On Tuesday, the deputies did not support this decision, thereby refusing to repeal the law.
