Lavrov about Kiev's position on UN peacekeepers: 'No chances'

The position of Kiev, which wants to turn UN peacekeepers into occupants of Donbass, has no prospects, said Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.

According to Lavrov, Ukraine is not aimed at ensuring the security of OSCE observers "who perform functions to monitor compliance with the Minsk agreements, but wants to deploy the occupation forces, cut all contacts of Donbass with the outside world and then establish their own order there, completely ignoring the Minsk agreements."

"This, of course, is a position that has no prospects," he said at a press conference.
