Kiev forces take non-combat losses because of soldiers’ alcoholism

The number of Kiev forces’ non-combat losses in the “ATO” zone increase because of the “alcoholism epidemic”, reports the LPR People Militia official representative, lieutenant colonel Andrey Marochko.

“The alcoholism epidemic continues existing in the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ units and the number of non-combat losses increases considerably,” he underlined.

“Thus as a result of the alcohol intoxication and reckless arms usage, a soldier of the 93rd  separate mechanized brigade shot his own leg with the AK-74 machine gun,” added the lieutenant colonel.

People’s Militia had earlier reported that moral and psychological condition of the Kiev gunmen grows worse; they continue marauding and commit “drunken fights”. Cases of military hazing, which lead to desertion and suicides among the soldiers, become more frequent. The AFU soldiers even harm themselves purposely to avoid military service in the so-called “ATO” zone.

Earlier Marochko underlined that the penalty scheme, adopted by the Verkhovna Rada to restrict soldier’s behavior wasn’t likely to affect the AFU units’ discipline.
