A well-known Greek opera singer Medeya Yassonidi plans to visit Donbass on 21-23 March to give free master classes on stage of the Donetsk State Academic Philharmonic Society.

“A famous singer Medeya Yassonidi will conduct voice training sessions on 21-23 March,” Philharmonic Society Director General Alexander Paretsky informed.

The classes will be conducted in the Small hall. There is no limit to the number of participants - the hall can accommodate up to 60 people. Participants are already submitting applications. On March 25, Yassodini plans to perform at a concert dedicated to the 90th birthdate of legendary cello player Mstislav Rostropovich, Paretsky said.

“She’ll play the role of his spouse, outstanding opera singer Galina Vishnevskaya (soprano) and perform a few arias with the symphonic orchestra.  Cello players Gleb Stepanov from Moscow and Elena Shagun from Donetsk will take part in the concert together with the Greek singer,” he added.
